Match day guidance
HEJ team managers and coaches will send match day details to all team parents by text, email or WhatsApp no later than 9pm on Thursdays. Parents will also be added to their team’s WhatsApp group.
We kindly ask that all players and parents arrive 30 minutes before kick-off for home and away fixtures, so team warm-ups and briefings can be done in a structured, organised and timely way.
Please arrive prepared: your child must wear shin pads, appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather, the correct match kit, and bring a drink.
We expect all parents to stay with their children throughout games unless this has been agreed in advance with one of the managers or coaches.
We ask all parents to stand behind the designated Respect marker lines on the opposite side of the pitch to the managers, coaches and players throughout games.
During matches, please give positive encouragement and praise to all players on both teams and clap any good play.
Parents must not shout out directions or instructions, or try to coach any players during games, on either team. This disrupts the games, confuses the players and contradicts what the coaches are teaching. Parents will be given warnings if this happens and may be asked to leave if it continues.
HEJ Athletic wants all matches to be played in good spirit and to promote fair play.
Our aim as a football club is to make sure all children playing football are having fun in a safe environment.
If for any reason your child is unable to attend a match day or tournament at short notice, please let the team manager and coach know as soon as possible.
