Some of our young and inspiring HEJ FC players were given the opportunity to visit and play at Arsenal’s Academy training ground (Hale End) on 5 November 2022.
The day started with both the U7s and U8s teams and their parents taking a Marshals coach from Milton Keynes to Arsenal’s training ground in London. The excitement and anticipation filled the air as the HEJ young footballers prepared to play against some of the best young players in the country.
The matches were challenging, but both teams were up for it – and the HEJ U7s and U8s managed to score some goals against Arsenal! The opportunity to play against Arsenal’s academy teams was a dream come true for all our players, and the chance to tour the training ground showed them first-hand the hard work and dedication it takes to become a professional footballer.
The club would like to thank our sponsors HEJ Coffee, Jungheinrich and Flinn Construction, who made this incredible journey possible. Their support shows real commitment to local communities in Milton Keynes and to promoting healthy, active lifestyles among young children.
Overall, the trip to Arsenal was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved – a day full of excitement, camaraderie and passion for the beautiful game. Our young footballers gained valuable experience and learned important lessons about teamwork, determination and sportsmanship.
I think the camp was great. From my perspective as a parent, the hours were great due to working full time and I had a very happy child (who begged to come back on a day he didn’t have to!). All the people in charge were friendly, welcoming and from what I could see it was well run.

My son had the best time at your football camp in February! He loved all the staff and activities and he wishes he’d been able to go for more days. I thought it was really good value for money and the times worked well around work.

Brilliant football coaching for ALL ability levels and so so much fun. Our son can be a little shy in new situations but within minutes the team had him charging about with all the other children having a brilliant time. He made new friends and his confidence soared. 5 stars in every way.
